  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Bottomless Pit. Not The Bottomless Pit, just Bottomless Pit. We open with Giving Bad People Good Ideas. It starts off with a woman singing the song title. And then... the song literally explodes. The guitars, the drums, the synths, they all clash together, with Ride barely piercing through the mix. Amazing opener. Next we have Hot Head, which opens very glitchy and noisy, only to move into a much slower section, filled with arps and Ride amongst the synths. Then moving back into the glitchy first section. And then once more, back to the slow part. Spikes is one of the grooviest songs on here. The bass on here is amazing, and the drums are some of my favourites. They hit especially hard here. The hook is also one of the catchiest. It would have fit in very nicely on The Money Store. Warping is one of the slowest Death Grips songs I've heard, but the cowbell chorus adds some great energy to the song, making it soun...

  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the second half of The Powers That B, Jenny Death. After the band's supposed break-up and a mediocre instrumental album , they released NOTW 's sister, and the second disc of the group's double album. Let's see how this album sounds. Immediately, we are hit with classic Death Grips action. I Break Mirrors With My Face In The United States is an energetic noise-fest, filled with Ride screaming his lungs out. The drumming is top notch, and the bass is heavier than ever. Inanimate Sensation is one the band's longer songs, with the leading element in this track being a weird riser formed out of Ride's voice. The drumming is great, and the synths are especially diverse. Turned Off features guitars in the beginning, before being distorted beyond recognition once the drums come in. As usual, more of your usual Death Grips soundscapes. Why A B!tch Gotta Lie starts pretty odd and off-putting, featuring...

  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the first half of Death Grips' double album, N!ggas On The Moon. On this first disc, the group collaborated with the legendary, Bjork. She provided the vocal samples that appear all over the record. We open with Up My Sleeves. Right off the bat, we are greeted to classic Death Grips noise. Ride is chanting, the drums sound powerful, the wall of synths penetrate through the mix, and the vocal chops here create a completely different vibe for the song. Usually, I don't enjoy vocal samples on a DG song, that's why I didn't enjoy Hustle Bones from The Money Store quite as much as the other tracks on there. Still, an amazing opener. Billy Not Really brings us a much more energetic song. The vocal samples form most of the main melody. The drums sound strong, Ride is screaming as usual. Yeah, this is a good song.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Death Grips' third studio album, Government Plates. Now kicked out of Epic Records, the group founded Third Worlds. One of the songs on here features Robert Pattinson, of all people. He's actually a big Death Grips fan. Anyway, with that being said, let's get into the review... Right off the bat, we start with the interestingly named, You Might Think He Loves You for Your Money but I Know What He Really Loves You for It’s Your Brand New Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat. And this song culminates everything their previous album lacked, pure, raw aggression, ground shaking synth basses, hammering drums. Amazing opener. And then the pure hyped aggression of the previous track is broken by Anne Bonny. With some heavily filtered vocals, light hearted synths, clean sounding basslines and synthetic sounding drums, I did not enjoy this song.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Death Grips' second studio album, No Love Deep Web. This is actually part of a pair of albums the band released in 2012, under Epic Records, the other one being The Money Store . However, when it came to this album, the release was rather odd, as Death Grips decided to leak their own of album, at midnight. This of course, did not please Epic Records, which eventually lead to the group getting kicked out of the label. Yeah, a bit weird of a release, but that doesn't matter right now. Now, we talk about the music. The opener greets us with buzzing arpeggio synth tones. After an entire minute, MC Ride comes in with his signature tortured vocals, but this time, they're especially aggressive. In contrast, the instrumental is a bit monotone. Then, Ride stops screaming and continues the song with a much calmer, yet haunting delivery. This opener really tells us what this album has to offer. Lil Boy is much more ...

WE'RE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT!!! Welcome back to my blog, and today we are reviewing The Money Store. If you're reading this post, then already know what this album is. We start with the incredibly catchy Get Got. The repeating synth notes, the explosive drums, the deep voice of Ride spitting cryptic bars. It's amazing. Now time for my favourite Death Grips song, depending on the day of the week. The Fever is much more aggressive compared to the opener. The swirling drone-like synths in the verse create such an atmosphere, then the dripping plucks in the pre-chorus, then those melodies on the chorus. And of course Ride's performance on here is absolutely amazing. Then we have Lost Boys, one of the quieter songs on here, but that does not mean it's bad. The electric buzzing that plagues this track, gives it a unique vibe. Then we have the mechanical voices that keep repeating the song's name. And as always, Ride is killing it. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are reviewing the debut mixtape of experimental hip hop group, Death Grips, Exmilitary. First of all, Exmilitary is a Sacramento-based experimental hip hop trio, featuring MC Ride on vocals and lyrics, Zach Hill on drums and Andy Morin on synths and production. They popped onto the underground scene with this very mixtape. So let's hear what it has to offer... We open on Beware, as an interview of Charles Manson plays over a groovy bassline. THEN SUDDENLY... You are bombarded with loud synths and fuzzy guitars, as a man screams at you. MC Ride spits bars like no other man... because he screams them, and not like an emo trap metal Soundcloud song. He gives his all to scare you.
