  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Metallica's sophomore release, Ride The Lightning. For this album, the band decided to go for more progressive instrumentation and less of the speedy tracks from their debut . What came out of those sessions was my favourite Metallica album... We start with Fight Fire With Fire, which at first seems to be an acoustic ballad, before it descends into chaos. The guitars are fast and atonal, the drums are hard hitting and the vocals are so raspy and cruel. Then, at the 2:37 minute mark, we hit a solo that sounds so frantic and dirty, it's amazing. This is one of the best openers I've heard. Next we have my favourite Metallica song, the title track. It's menacing in it's oppressing sound, and not it's speed, as it is on the slower side of thrash. Also, that iconic opening riff at the beginning is pure joy to my ears.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today I will be reviewing the self-titled debut from rap super duo, Kids See Ghosts. This duo is comprises of Kanye and Kid Cudi. On this album, we see the group discussing topics of mental health and other similiar themes. One of the main accomplishments this album has under it's belt is a perfect 10 out of 10 from Anthony Fantano, the melon man himself. So will I give the same score to this album? Let's see... We open with Feel The Love, where Cudi shouts out that he can still feel the love. After a short verse from Pusha T, we see Kanye pretending to be gun, screaming throughout the chorus. This sets the tone for the rest of album, as a beautiful and triumphant Friday evening. At least, that's the vibe the album gives me. Fire focuses around a Western sounding sample.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing The King Of Limbs. This album is often considered one of the two worst Radiohead albums, alongside Pablo Honey . Anthony Fantano even said it's his least favourite Radiohead album. Why? Because this album focuses around repetitive loops. Is it really that bad? No. We start with Bloom, mainly revolving around a slow 5/4 breakbeat drum loop. It goes on for the entirety of the song, and whilst most will say it gets very repetitive, I find quite entrancing. Than Thom comes in with the vocals, and I just love the way the beat and the singing blend into one another. Around the middle, we find a serene string section, which spirals into a crescendo, before returning to the beat. Must say, this is one of my favourite openers from Radiohead. Next we have Morning Mr. Magpie, which revolves around a catchy bassline. This is one of the groovier songs on here. The synth pads that slowly come in also give this song some variet...

After the band's supposed break-up and a mediocre instrumental album , they released NOTW 's sister, and the second disc of the group's double album. Let's see how this album sounds. Immediately, we are hit with classic Death Grips action. I Break Mirrors With My Face In The United States is an energetic noise-fest, filled with Ride screaming his lungs out. The drumming is top notch, and the bass is heavier than ever. Inanimate Sensation is one the band's longer songs, with the leading element in this track being a weird riser formed out of Ride's voice. The drumming is great, and the synths are especially diverse. Turned Off features guitars in the beginning, before being distorted beyond recognition once the drums come in. As usual, more of your usual Death Grips soundscapes. Why A B!tch Gotta Lie starts pretty odd and off-putting, featuring...

  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Radiohead's seventh studio album, In Rainbows. After being released from their record label after their six album contract, Radiohead decided to go solo and release their next album themselves, as a pay-what-you-want, which would become the groundwork for sites like Bandcamp. So let's see how this album sounds. Right off the bat, full of energy, we start with 15 Step. The drums are clean and punchy, the guitar is hard panned to the left ear, which creates a very odd atmosphere. The whole song sounds so joyful and full of life, at least for Radiohead standards. Next we have Bodysnatchers, the most energetic song on this album. The guitars are heavily distorted and create a wall of sound that Thom and the rest of the instruments barely manage to pierce through. Another great song.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the guided tour through the apocalypse, Kid A. Thom Yorke, front man of Radiohead said that Kid A will be the name of the first human clone, and that this album represents the environment in which the clone grows up in. With no singles or music videos, and with one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time being it's predecessor, many people were expecting more rock 'n' roll from Radiohead, similiar to The Bends and OK Computer , but instead, they got a barren wasteland of sound, bringing in many influences from around the music world. Let's see what they've got... Right off the bat, we are greeted to the cold synth chords and glitchy vocals of Everything In It's Right Place. A muted kick drum and weird, heavily filtered vocals ring in the background. This song is emotionally emotionless. WE'RE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT!!! Welcome back to my blog, and today we are reviewing The Money Store. If you're reading this post, then already know what this album is. We start with the incredibly catchy Get Got. The repeating synth notes, the explosive drums, the deep voice of Ride spitting cryptic bars. It's amazing. Now time for my favourite Death Grips song, depending on the day of the week. The Fever is much more aggressive compared to the opener. The swirling drone-like synths in the verse create such an atmosphere, then the dripping plucks in the pre-chorus, then those melodies on the chorus. And of course Ride's performance on here is absolutely amazing. Then we have Lost Boys, one of the quieter songs on here, but that does not mean it's bad. The electric buzzing that plagues this track, gives it a unique vibe. Then we have the mechanical voices that keep repeating the song's name. And as always, Ride is killing it. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Phoebe Bridger's sophomore release, Punisher. After producing and featuring on other artists works and creating an all-girls rock band, she finally released here second album in 2020. I enjoyed her debut a lot, so let's see how this holds up compared to her first record. DVD Menu is a short, but echoey song that features violins, filtered guitar plucks and other strings. A surprisingly moody opener. Then we have Garden Song with normal vocals, but heavily filtered guitar strumming. That is until we reach chorus, as the guitar sounds much clearer, and a guest vocalist brings in bass to the vocals. Kyoto is much more rock influenced song, with a very catchy horn tune. The title track is a very moody song with strings and more filtered guitar strums. Halloween may be another quiet song, but it has a bit more of a groove compared to the other softer songs. The Godfather album, the legend among us post punkists, Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. The debut record of English post punk act, Joy Division, was at the same, their second to last release, due to the untimely passing of the band's frontman, Ian Curtis. But let's not think about these unfortunate events, you have come to this blog to read an album review. Let's see how this record sounds... The first song on the album is Disorder, which gives a perfect taste this album is. Sharp drums, thicc basslines and echoey guitars. The vocals are also very spacious, the production in general is very lucious and spacey. An amazing opening to this album. Day Of The Lords contrasts with the previous song, as this track is much slower, heavier and ominous. The vocals are also full of growns and more monotone.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Pink Floyd's Meddle. I have heard a lot of people saying that this is the precursor to the legendary, Dark Side of The Moon. Well then, let's see if it is so. Starting off the album, we have One Of Those Days, which starts with an energetic bassline and a powerful wind blowing in the background, also featuring  occasional organ chords. And then, at the 2 minute mark, a guitar emerges from beneath, however it is quickly filtered to sound like it's "stuttering". Finally, the track turns into a proper Pink Floyd rock song. A Pillow Of Winds was a simple, yet rather long, mainly acoustic song. Yeah, it was good. Fearless was a not so acoustic song, this time featuring actual percussion, however it still maintained it's calm demeanour, and then just before the 5 minute mark, a crowd starts singing.   Greetings everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing what is often considered the best Queen album, A Night At The Opera. Let's see if that's so... The first song on the record is the incredible Death On Two Legs. This track has some astonishing vocal performances. Also I love how Freddie talks about how you can "kiss his ass goodbye". I just love that. And the guitar on this song is legendary. An absolutely amazing start to this album. Then we switch to a short piano driven song, Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon is a nice, fun track. Next we have the infamous I'm In Love With My Car, where Roger Taylor, the drummer of Queen, describes his then car is great detail and sings about how much he loves it. A bit too much actually... Moving on we have a much more laid-back song, that being You're My Best Friend. It's just another simple, but nice track, similiar to  Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Queen's third album, Sheer Heart Attack. Their previous album, Queen II  was a great step-up from their first album , in my opinion. So will this growth continue with this album? Absolutely! The first song on this album is none other than the legendary, Brighton Rock. This song starts with some playful vocals from Freddie, with a tension filled guitar in the background building up to something. And that something is the legendary 3 minute guitar solo, that Brian May absolutely killed. Next we have the calmer Killer Queen, but this song is still an absolute bop. The guitar on this song is stellar and the vocal performance Freddie puts on this song is just great. Tenement Funster was pretty mediocre. First of all, I didn't feature any Freddie, and neither was the guitar anything special. Wasn't very memorable. Moving on, we have the epic Flick of The Wrist. Welcome back everyone to the blog. Today I will be reviewing the third album from Molchat Doma, Монумент (pronounced Monument). After the absolutely amazing album that was Этажи , I had some pretty high expectations for their next album. Did it reach those expectations? Absolutely!  Starting off the album, we have Утонуть. This absolutely beautiful track is mainly driven by some synth pads, however they feel so powerful and are just.... mmmmmmmm. Amazing! Just top notch song!  Next we have Обречен, which brings back the slow beat and the amazing guitars. This song has a more melancholic vibe, however it gets stuck in your head really quickly. This song feels like it's a rainy day, and your just sitting there, doing rather mundane things, and getting bored really of said things. Just another amazing song. The next song, Дискотека, brings back the energetic beat, similiar to Танцевать, and has that classic 80s synth pop vibe. It just another great song! Moving on, we have Не Сме...
