  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are reviewing Queen's final album, Made In Heaven. This is a "posthumous" album of sorts, because it was released 4 years after Freddie's death, thus the band's death as well. But somehow, the group managed to make an entire album out of recordings Freddie made while he was still alive. Let's see how that turned out... We open on It's A Beautiful Day, a short piano driven song. Not that special, but was a decent opener. Next we have the title track, which is actually a remake of a song off of Freddie's solo album. And I must say, this version is miles better than the original version. It sounds so much better with a guitar. Let Me Live was a mediocre song. Roger Taylor sings on here as well, but it really just pulls the song down. It also drags on for way too long. Mother Love is a bit more of a mellower song, with vocals from Brian May. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Queen's second to last album, Innuendo. This would also be the last album the band released whilst the legend himself, Freddie Mercury, was still alive. The album was released in February 1991, and only 9 months later, Freddie would die of AIDS-derived pneumonia. But let's try not to sadden ourselves here, you've come hear to read my review of the album, so let's jump straight in. As powerful drums and loud organ chords greet us, we open on the title track. Freddie describes the world, as a powerful instrumental booms behind him. This first section of the song is probably the band's most anthemic song. But it quiets down, as echoey vocals gentle sing over soft guitar plucks. Then suddenly, a flamenco melody performed by guitarist of legendary prog rock band, Yes, Mr. Steve Howe plays. The transition is so sudden, yet it works incredibly well. Then, just like in Bohemiam Rhapsody, an operatic section...

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Queen's 1989 release, The Miracle. After the disappointment that was A Kind Of Magic , I was hoping that Queen would give a more substantial release. Let's see what they gave us... We open on Party. A pretty nice, jammy song, but JESUS CHRIST WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE PANNING?!?!?! The vocals are on my left and on my right, and the guitar is spinning around me, like... what? Khashoggi's Ship was a decent song, but rather forgettable. Then we have the title track. This song is incredibly nostalgic to me. I don't know about you, but my dad would play this all the time. I love this song so much. The guitar, the vocals, the melodies are just amazing. But that transition from the end is a bit weird, but apart from that, this song is amazing. I Want It All. yes please.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing A Kind Of Magic. This was Queen's last tour promoted album, due to Mr. Freddie Mercury's declining health. Let's see how this album sounds. We open on One Vision, a pretty good rock song, with a lot of synths mixed with classic rock instruments. The vocals were pretty nice too. Not that bad of a start. A Kind Of Magic was an OK song with some nice vocals, but generally, it wasn't that special at all. One Year Of Love was probably Queen's attempt to try make another slow, love song like Las Palabras De Amor from Hot Space . Problem is... it isn't good. Pain Is So Close To Pleasure sounds like the cheesiest 90s pop song that would play on the radio very late at night... and that song is bad. Friends Will Be Friends is extremely cheesy and annoying. Do not want to hear this song again. But... on the other hand... Who Wants To Live Forever... I don't think I need to say anything else. Gimme Th...

  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are reviewing The Works. After the disaster that was Hot Space, I was hoping for a better up, and return to their original sound. I somewhat found that. We start with Radio Ga Ga. No comment needed. Tear It Up sounded a bit generic, in my opinion. Nothing special, but would have fit very well on their debut . It's A Hard Life was a wonderful ballad. Nothing else to say. Man On The Prowl was a rockabilly, but whilst Crazy Little Thing Called Love was catchy and more fast paced, this one just fades in the background. Machines sounded very weird. That's it. Not even the rock parts were that special. Rather forgettable, honestly. i   w a n t   t o   b r e a k   f r e e . Keep Passing The Open Windows was a pretty nice rock song, but rather generic.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today we are reviewing what is often considered the worst Queen album, Hot Space. But why? you might say. Well, the band had slowly been diverging more and more from their rock sound, and towards a more pop influenced sound, causing many fans to be very disappointed. I, for one, love synthpop and synthwave, however past Queen songs in this style have been mediocre at best. Let's see how this album holds up. We start with Staying Power, which sounds like your standard 80s synthpop song, thus making it sound generic and forgettable. The horns weren't anything special, and was generally just a mediocre song. Dancer was, once again, super generic and forgettable. Tho it reminds me of The Rick Dance song for some reason. Back Chat, again, generic. It's the same problem here as with most Imagine Dragon records: The songs sound identical! Body Language and Action This Day, whilst not as generic, are mediocre at best.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. You know the deal, Queen, The Game, Anthony Fanta-, I mean let's jump straight into it. Play The Game opens on some reversed noises, rising into a soft rock song, with a nice driving piano, but a decent at best sounding guitar. The performance didn't impress me that much. Really was just a decent song. Next we have Dragon Attack, which was a much heavier and hard hitting song compared to the opener. The guitar this time sounded much more aggressive, and the bassline on here was especially nice. We see an upward trajectory for the album. funky bassline. it's my favourite song from queen. bites za dusto. Need Your Loving Tonight, however, sounded very cheesy. The vocal performance on this song is in no way impressing, or at least fun, like on Another One Bites The Dust. You could also replace the guitar on here with a synth, and it would sound the same. The solo towards the end was pretty sweet tho. it's a crazy little thing call...

Jeez, that was quite the post wasn't it, Dark Side is such an amazing album. Anyway, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are going to be reviewing Jazz. We start the album with Mustapha. The song's lyrics are actually just Arab-Persian gibberish. The song starts quiet, but suddenly erupts in volume and brings in the classic Brian May guitar. A pretty good start to the album. Fat Bottomed Girls. Need I say more? Jealousy was a slow song, which somehow sounds just like the emotion, in my opinion at least. I WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE If You Can't Beat Them is your standard Queen style hard rock song. That's it. Let Me Entertain You was OK. The vocals were OK, and the guitar performance was great, but it didn't really impress me. Dead On Time sounded just like Brighton Rock, and given how much I love that song, it's only right that this song is just as good. Ladies and gentlemen, it appears that we have already discussed this topic, because everyone at the moment is legally obligated to sing the chorus to this song whenever it comes on. Our second headliner is We Are The Champions. Once again, the entire human population must know this song, otherwise they will be deleted off of this world. Next we have Sheer Heart Attack. Not the album, but the song. We have loud, energetic guitar melodies, with heavy punk influences. The fast drums and Mr. Freddie Mercury's vocals work together to create a bloody good song. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the follow up to A Night At The Opera , A Day At The Races. Let's get straight into this album. We start with the epic Tie Your Mother Down. What can I say? Killer guitar, powerful beat, amazing vocals, this is an amazing start to the album! In contrast, You Take My Breath Away is a soothing piano melody, with a few vocal harmonies sprinkled in for a great track. Long Away was a nice slow track, which for some reason reminded me of Wham's Last Christmas. It was another great song, none theless. The Millionaire Waltz, as the title implies, was a waltz style song, which started with mainly a piano, and Freddie's delicate vocal performance. Towards the end, they brought in a guitar and drums to give a touch of rock to this song.   Greetings everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing what is often considered the best Queen album, A Night At The Opera. Let's see if that's so... The first song on the record is the incredible Death On Two Legs. This track has some astonishing vocal performances. Also I love how Freddie talks about how you can "kiss his ass goodbye". I just love that. And the guitar on this song is legendary. An absolutely amazing start to this album. Then we switch to a short piano driven song, Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon is a nice, fun track. Next we have the infamous I'm In Love With My Car, where Roger Taylor, the drummer of Queen, describes his then car is great detail and sings about how much he loves it. A bit too much actually... Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Queen's third album, Sheer Heart Attack. Their previous album, Queen II  was a great step-up from their first album , in my opinion. So will this growth continue with this album? Absolutely! The first song on this album is none other than the legendary, Brighton Rock. This song starts with some playful vocals from Freddie, with a tension filled guitar in the background building up to something. And that something is the legendary 3 minute guitar solo, that Brian May absolutely killed. Next we have the calmer Killer Queen, but this song is still an absolute bop. The guitar on this song is stellar and the vocal performance Freddie puts on this song is just great. Tenement Funster was pretty mediocre. First of all, I didn't feature any Freddie, and neither was the guitar anything special. Wasn't very memorable. Moving on, we have the epic Flick of The Wrist.  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. How are you all doing? Today, I will be reviewing Queen's second album, the ingeniously titled, Queen II. I don't really have anything else to say, so... let's just crack on. Starting off the album, we have Procession, which is just a short guitar solo. Pretty neat. Then the fun really starts with Father To Son. It features a powerful guitar driven melody, with pounding drums, mixed with Freddie's vocals, give off an almost monumental feel, as if this the point in the adventure where really gets on to it. The majority of White Queen was a more vocal driven song, with some guitar sprinkled in. And then, the last minute is a more rock song. This song didn't really leave an impression on me though. Some Day One Day started off quiet, with mostly just hi-hats mixed with some vocals. Slowly, the guitar brought in, however it didn't stay for long, as the song was coming to a close.  Welcome back everyone to my blog. Today, I will start reviewing the legendary discography of Queen. No introduction needed here, we all know who Queen is. Let's get straight into their self entitled first album. Starting off, we have Keep Yourself Alive, a decent rock 'n' roll sounding song. The guitar was great, but the drums felt very empty, and was one of the main reasons this track isn't so good. Doing Alright started off with a calm melody, reminiscent of Pink Floyd 's later work, more abstract in nature. However, around the 2 minute mark, the track suddenly shifts to another rock 'n' roll-esc song, and then back to a calm section. This song, while a bit odd in nature, was a great song actually. Moving on, we have Great King Rat, with a highly energetic feel to it, Brian May's guitar work, being absolutely stunning on this track. My man just goes bonkers.
