  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Joy Division's second and last album, Closer. Released 2 months after frontman, Ian Curtis committed suicide, we see a bit more of a different sound compared to Unknown Pleasures . We open on Atrocity Exhibition, the song, not the album. Anyway, it's pretty good, but I find the vocals rather annoying and the percussion doesn't sound very powerful. Isolation has better sounding vocals, but the percussion on here still sounds pretty bad. The song, in general, sounds rather goofy. Passover finally brings us some substance. Ominous guitars and vocals, powerful drumming and thicc basslines. Colony is in the same vein, but this sounding a bit brighter. A Means To An End is rather forgettable, in my opinion. It doesn't really stand out in anyway. Heart And Soul, on the other hand, brings us something new. Reverb drenched... everything, gentle synth pads, heavy basslines and some very nice percussion. The Godfather album, the legend among us post punkists, Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. The debut record of English post punk act, Joy Division, was at the same, their second to last release, due to the untimely passing of the band's frontman, Ian Curtis. But let's not think about these unfortunate events, you have come to this blog to read an album review. Let's see how this record sounds... The first song on the album is Disorder, which gives a perfect taste this album is. Sharp drums, thicc basslines and echoey guitars. The vocals are also very spacious, the production in general is very lucious and spacey. An amazing opening to this album.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are going to be discussing Nürnberg's second studio album, Paharda. Their previous album was OK, and as such, I was expecting an improvement of their sound. Let's see if they learned anything from their previous album. We start with Abdymi, with a much more lo-fi sound. The vocals were loud and imposing and the bassline was much thiccer and menacing. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Next we Viera, a darker song, with a dark guitar, however the vocals didn't quite do it for me. This song was OK. Zorki has a powerful synth pad that fills the entire song. Melancholic guitar melodies, powerful drums, this is beautiful. Listy was less impressive. It really didn't leave that big of an impression on me. Trymaju was a slower song, with melancholic guitar melodies and a nice basline. The vocals sounded mournful, as if the singer lost something, and it sounds amazing. This is another great track. Greetings once again, ladies and gentlemen. Today, I am reviewing Nürnberg's first studio album, not EP, Skryvaj. Fun Fact: Roman Komogortsev of Molchat Doma helped mix and master this album, and also played a couple synth melodies on this record. This had me very hyped up for this album. Let's see if it really delivered on that. Right of the bat, Usio Roŭna is a highly energetic song with some absolutely  amazing guitar melodies and a super catchy bassline. One of the best starts to an album I have ever seen. Next we have Biessensoŭnasć. The guitar melodies were OK and the bassline was great, but the vocals didn't really do it for me on this song. Spać also had some rather weird vocals, but these ones were a bit more bearable compared to the previous song. The guitar melodies were also great on this song, and the bassline was also pretty nice.   Greetings everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the first album from the Belarussian post punk band, Nürnberg. For those who don't know, Nürnberg is a duo from Minsk, Belarus, the same place where Molchat Doma come from! This is their first EP, actually, however I feel like it should get it's own post. With that being said, let's jump into this record. We are greeted with the first track, Intro, which is driven by some haunting guitar chords. The song has a slow beat, and a juicy bassline. Already loving this EP. Next we have the title track, U Nikudy. This track is much more energetic and features actual vocals, these being very dark and loud, with a lot of effects on them. Overall, this track is amazing. Moving on, we have Patanuć. This one was a bit slower, with a more melancholic feel to it. The guitar on this track sounded especially nice. Next we have Los.  Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Depresión Sonora's second album, Historias Tristes Para Dormir Bien. I really don't have anything else to say, so let's just jump in. The first song we have is Apocalipsis Virtual. It a great   beginning to this record. It has a catchy melody and an overall great vibe. Sorry for not having too much say about these tracks, but Depresión Sonora's songs are rather simple, and that's their charm. Next we have Generación Perdida, Diversión Prohibida is a much more melancholic track compared to Apocalipsis Virtual. Still, it has a really nice, and soothing guitar lead. La Casa del Arbol was a rather forgetable track, in my opinion. The melodies didn't do much for me. In comparison, Gasolina y Mechero is a short, but upbeat track with a great guitar lead and a generally nice vibe. And finally, we have Tu No Me Tienes Que Salvar. This track was a bit slower and was quite as memorable as the other track...

With the intention of spicing things up a bit during the reviewing of long discographies, such as those from Queen and Pink Floyd, I will be reviewing artists with shorter discographies. And this artist right her, has only 2 albums. Oh, well. So, who is this guy? Depresión Sonora is a Spanish artist who does makes post punk music, similiar to Molchat Doma and The End of Electronics . Only this time, it's   g r o o v y . Whilst Molchat Doma has cool, synthwave inspired tracks, Depresión Sonora has straight up vibe tracks. Anyway, I've talked to much, let's get into the review. The first track we have is Hasta Que Llegue la Muerte. Even though this track has a rather dark meaning, it has some energetic drums and really catchy guitar and hook. An amazing start to the album. Next we have Mira Mis Ojos, featuring a darker vibe, similiar to something from Этажи . The slow beat, darker guitar melodies and deeper vocals, remind me of Molchat ...

Hey Ya! Welcome back to the blog. Today, I will be reviewing The End of Electronics' second album, Safety Guidelines. After listening to his first album, Union, and seeing how there was still room for improvement, I was hoping that Mr. Skarletov would turn the production up a notch. Well, all I can say is that he exceeded my expectations by a lot!  Starting off the album, we have the ominous Citizen. The vocals are much calmer and the guitar sounds really cool. The record is starting off strong!  Next we have Doppelganger, featuring a powerful synth lead and great vocals. Also, I should mention that the vocals sound much cleaner than in Union. Decadence had a slower beat and a more melancholic vibe compared to the previous 2 songs. The vocals felt sadder than usual and so did the guitar. Very cool song though!  Moving on, we have Proletarian Gothic. A very energetic song, featuring a very nice guitar lead and vocals. The bassline in this song was one of the best I had see...

Welcome back everyone to the blog. Today I will be reviewing the third album from Molchat Doma, Монумент (pronounced Monument). After the absolutely amazing album that was Этажи , I had some pretty high expectations for their next album. Did it reach those expectations? Absolutely!  Starting off the album, we have Утонуть. This absolutely beautiful track is mainly driven by some synth pads, however they feel so powerful and are just.... mmmmmmmm. Amazing! Just top notch song!  Next we have Обречен, which brings back the slow beat and the amazing guitars. This song has a more melancholic vibe, however it gets stuck in your head really quickly. This song feels like it's a rainy day, and your just sitting there, doing rather mundane things, and getting bored really of said things. Just another amazing song. The next song, Дискотека, brings back the energetic beat, similiar to Танцевать, and has that classic 80s synth pop vibe. It just another great song! Moving on, we have Не Сме...

  Welcome back everyone to my blog. Today I will be reviewing The End of Electronics' first album, Union. As I mentioned in my   Voskhod review , I found out about this one-man band because of my affinity with Molchat Doma. I listened to his first album, and have to say... this album is pretty good. Not the best, but still really good. Let's dive deeper into it, shall we?  Kicking off the album is Night. It has a really interesting vibe to it, feeling like it's the beginning of your journey, and look out the window of your vehicle, you see rural areas and small towns. That's the feel thus song gives me. It has an amazing chorus instrumental and is just overall really well made!  Moving on, we have the oddly melancholic Union. Not that there is anything bad with that, but the instrumental gives me a sadder vibe. It really cool, it feels like the journey has taken a break, and you stopped at a gas station. Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog... and today I finally get to review the legendary Этажи (pronounced: etazhi)!!! Ever since I discovered Molchat Doma, I have always had a soft spot for this album. It it so well made and absolutely incredible. But let me explain why it is... Kicking off the album, we have На Дне. It starts off with a powerful, juicy synth bass and then a higher pitched lead synth. The beat is a bit slower, but is an absolute banger of a track! Also this is the opening track of the album, yet it seems to always played at the end of concerts. Anyway, the next song is Танцевать. It is super high energy and it is humanly impossible for me to not bop my head at the beginning drums. This song is once again, absolutely amazing!! Though what's ironic about this song is that it's title means "to dance", and the chorus says "I can not dance". Фильмы brings back the slower beat, but the epic bassline. Welcome back everyone to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Molchat Doma's debut album, С крыш наших домов (pronounced S krishi nasha domov). First of all, who is this band? Well, I'm sure you remember  The End of Electronics' Voskhod , any earlier post of mine where I talk about his newest album. Well, the way I discovered TEoE was through Spotify recommending him to me. But he was recommended because I was listening to Molchat Doma on repeat. And since I love this band so much, I sais why nor review their whole discography (there are only 3 albums. sad). Alright, enough blabbering, let's get straight into it. And starting off strong with Дома Молчат. This song has some of the best synth pads and basslines I have ever heard. This song is just an absolute slapper! Then suddenly, a shift in tone, from the upbeat Дома Молчат, to the slow, melancholic Kрыши. And yet, such an amazing song! The dark bassline and slow guitar mixed so well with the deep vocals. Well hello there! How are you fine beings doing? Today, I will be reviewing The End of Electronics' newest album, Voskhod. First of all, a bit of context. TEoE is a one-man band, lead by Nikita Skarletov. He mainly does post-punk, similiar to another great band, Molchat Doma (tell me in comments if you wanna see reviews on them). I have listened to Mr. Skarletov's previous two albums, and must say that they are masterpieces (tell me in the comments if you want me to review them as well). Kicking off the album, we have The Rise. I didn't find it very memorable apart from the amazing bassline of the song. It had something to it, but it felt very comforting. Ring was pretty similiar to The Rise, not finding it very memorable as other songs, but enjoyed their basslines. Fire was a change for the better, with it having a faster beat.
