Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Kanye's sophomore release, Late Registration. After the success that was The College Dropout , Kanye said "Eh, why not make a career out of this rap thing?" After a weird opening skit, we start with Heard 'Em Say, featuring Marron 5 vocalist, Adam Levine, who, somehow really works on this track, especially the soft, but jazzy instrumental. Touch The Sky is one of the more bombastic songs on here. The brassy instrumental works very well with the lyrical content, and is overall another great song. eyyy gold digger The skits on this album are pretty fire. Next we have Drive Slow, which is another one of the mellower songs on here. It's slow, and simple, another track I really liked. My Way Home is similiar to the previous track, only this time with a pitched down vocal sample.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the last studio album from Nirvana, In Utero. After the success of Nevermind , Kurt Cobain wanted to go for a less polished sound, and feature much noisier and abrasive songs on here. We open with Serve The Servants. Not much to say here, just your usual catchy grunge tune. I must say that I really like the occasional dissonant guitar squeals. Scentless Apprentice is one of the noisier songs on here. But the highlight here is definetly the singing. Kurt screams like he never usually does. They way he just yells into the microphone is ear-piercing, but amazing at the same time. i think we all know heart shaped box. and the controversial, rape me. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle is more the usual grunge. Not much else to comment on here. It's not bad by any mean, but I've heard much cooler grunge songs.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing the debut album of Nirvana, Bleach. You should definetly know who Nirvana is, or at least was. Seattle grunge band, they were the kings of rock in the early 90s. Their core line-up consisted of Kurt Cobain on vocals and guitar, Krist Novoselic on bass, and Dave Grohl on drums, however he wouldn't become a part of the band until their second album. So, let's see what this album has to offer... We open with Blew. Hammering drums and a very thicc bassline, like damn. The guitar also sounds pretty good. The vocals do sound a bit awkward, specifically when Kurt is shouting. All in all, a pretty good opener. Next we have Floyd The Barber, which opens on some with hammering drums, thicc bass and some epic guitars, but the vocals sound bad. The sound like a parody of themselves. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Radiohead's sophomore release, The Bends. After the disappointment that was their debut, we find considerable evolution in this album. Much more memorable hooks and better moments. However, that can't be said about the opener Planet Telex, with some very annoying vocals, a bland sounding rock instrumental and little to no progression, leading to the four minute length of this track being rather forced. Same with the title track, with a very forgettable instrumental and barely audible vocals. But after those two, we get into the good stuff with High And Dry. The easy going instrumental, the soft vocals, they all culminate to create a nice, yet mellow song. But the saddest song on here has to be Fake Plastic Trees. A similiar instrumental to the previous track, but the vocal performance really sets it apart. Oh baby, The Wall. This giant. Let's get to it! In The Flesh? opens the album with a melancholic hard rock song. Slowly, towards the end, a lot of noise and static kicks in. Then we have The Thin Ice. A slow, piano driven song with rather mean vocals, as if he's mocking us, and then, a loud guitar solo kicks in. After that, a reverberated bassline kicks in, accompanied by whispering vocals. An overall very moody and suspenseful song. After that, The Happiest Days Of Our Lives brings in another groovy bassline, building up into we don't need no education . Next we have Mother, a nice rock song. Goodbye Blue Sky is a dramatic song, with a generally very dark feel to it. Empty Spaces is very empty, until the guitar kicks in, transitioning into Young Lust, a groovy song, with some epic vocals.   Welcome back to my blog. Today, we will start reviewing the short discography of Aphrodite's Child. Who is Aphrodite's Child, you may say. Well, it is a Greek band formed in 1967, comprised of world famous singer, Demis Roussos, highly talented musician, Vangelis and Loukas Sideras. How did I discover this band? Well, a while back, I was watching L EMMiNO 's documentary, Grazed By The Apocalypse . During this video, he plays a short clip from the title track of this album. I really liked, so I listened to it. On repeat. Now I have blog where I review albums. I listened to all three of their albums in one Minecraft session. Let's jump into their first album.   Get comfy, 'cause this is gonna be a long one. Welcome back to my blog, ladies and gentlemen. Today, we are reviewing the 11 EP long series, 3 and half hours worth of  entirely analogue  material, Analord. I'm gonna review this similiar to how I review a Various Works post. Also, I will not be including the bonus tracks released in 2009. So, with that being said, let's go. ~~~ Analord 1: We start with Steppingfilter 101. Classic acid bassline, but a slower beat, however the stand out feature for me is the trippy, yet catchy towards the start. A pretty decent start to the album. Canticle Drawl had a saw bassline, and not much else. A lot of the tracks on these EPs are gonna be rather simple. MC-4 Acid was another slow acid house song, though not as catchy as Steppingfilter. Bubble 'n' Squeak 2 was a pretty nice track with a very soothing, airy pad. Where's Your Girlfriend was the first long song of this album. Why am I pointing this out? Well, quite a few song...

Jeez, that was quite the post wasn't it, Dark Side is such an amazing album. Anyway, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are going to be reviewing Jazz. We start the album with Mustapha. The song's lyrics are actually just Arab-Persian gibberish. The song starts quiet, but suddenly erupts in volume and brings in the classic Brian May guitar. A pretty good start to the album. Fat Bottomed Girls. Need I say more? Jealousy was a slow song, which somehow sounds just like the emotion, in my opinion at least. I WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE If You Can't Beat Them is your standard Queen style hard rock song. That's it. Let Me Entertain You was OK. The vocals were OK, and the guitar performance was great, but it didn't really impress me. Dead On Time sounded just like Brighton Rock, and given how much I love that song, it's only right that this song is just as good.   Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are going to be discussing Nürnberg's second studio album, Paharda. Their previous album was OK, and as such, I was expecting an improvement of their sound. Let's see if they learned anything from their previous album. We start with Abdymi, with a much more lo-fi sound. The vocals were loud and imposing and the bassline was much thiccer and menacing. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Next we Viera, a darker song, with a dark guitar, however the vocals didn't quite do it for me. This song was OK. Zorki has a powerful synth pad that fills the entire song. Melancholic guitar melodies, powerful drums, this is beautiful. Listy was less impressive. It really didn't leave that big of an impression on me. Trymaju was a slower song, with melancholic guitar melodies and a nice basline. The vocals sounded mournful, as if the singer lost something, and it sounds amazing. This is another great track. Greetings once again, ladies and gentlemen. Today, I am reviewing Nürnberg's first studio album, not EP, Skryvaj. Fun Fact: Roman Komogortsev of Molchat Doma helped mix and master this album, and also played a couple synth melodies on this record. This had me very hyped up for this album. Let's see if it really delivered on that. Right of the bat, Usio Roŭna is a highly energetic song with some absolutely  amazing guitar melodies and a super catchy bassline. One of the best starts to an album I have ever seen. Next we have Biessensoŭnasć. The guitar melodies were OK and the bassline was great, but the vocals didn't really do it for me on this song. Spać also had some rather weird vocals, but these ones were a bit more bearable compared to the previous song. The guitar melodies were also great on this song, and the bassline was also pretty nice. Staracca was a turn to the melancholic, with some slow guitar melodies and deep, distant vocals. Also, this track ...

 Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Depresión Sonora's second album, Historias Tristes Para Dormir Bien. I really don't have anything else to say, so let's just jump in. The first song we have is Apocalipsis Virtual. It a great   beginning to this record. It has a catchy melody and an overall great vibe. Sorry for not having too much say about these tracks, but Depresión Sonora's songs are rather simple, and that's their charm. Next we have Generación Perdida, Diversión Prohibida is a much more melancholic track compared to Apocalipsis Virtual. Still, it has a really nice, and soothing guitar lead. La Casa del Arbol was a rather forgetable track, in my opinion. The melodies didn't do much for me. In comparison, Gasolina y Mechero is a short, but upbeat track with a great guitar lead and a generally nice vibe. And finally, we have Tu No Me Tienes Que Salvar. This track was a bit slower and was quite as memorable as the other track...

 Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. How are you all doing? Today, I will be reviewing Queen's second album, the ingeniously titled, Queen II. I don't really have anything else to say, so... let's just crack on. Starting off the album, we have Procession, which is just a short guitar solo. Pretty neat. Then the fun really starts with Father To Son. It features a powerful guitar driven melody, with pounding drums, mixed with Freddie's vocals, give off an almost monumental feel, as if this the point in the adventure where really gets on to it. The majority of White Queen was a more vocal driven song, with some guitar sprinkled in. And then, the last minute is a more rock song. This song didn't really leave an impression on me though. Some Day One Day started off quiet, with mostly just hi-hats mixed with some vocals. Slowly, the guitar brought in, however it didn't stay for long, as the song was coming to a close. Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Aphex Twin's sixth studio album, Syro. Keep in mind that it had been 13 years since Aphex Twin's last studio album at the time of this record's release. While Mr. Richard's previous album, DrukQs, was a an absolute masterpiece, I have heard a lot of people bad-mouth this album for being to bland. Let's see if that's true...  Starting off the album, we have minipops 67. A rather calm beat-oriented track, mixed with some distorted vocal samples and an acid house-like synth. Towards the end of the track, more vocal samples are added in, which add a very nice feel to this song. A great start to this album.  Next we have XMAS_EVET10, with a slow beat, similiar to minipops 67, difference being this track brings in more synths, that add a very alien feel to it, just like any other song from this guy. Welcome back everyone to my blog. Today, I will be reviewing Molchat Doma's debut album, С крыш наших домов (pronounced S krishi nasha domov). First of all, who is this band? Well, I'm sure you remember  The End of Electronics' Voskhod , any earlier post of mine where I talk about his newest album. Well, the way I discovered TEoE was through Spotify recommending him to me. But he was recommended because I was listening to Molchat Doma on repeat. And since I love this band so much, I sais why nor review their whole discography (there are only 3 albums. sad). Alright, enough blabbering, let's get straight into it. And starting off strong with Дома Молчат. This song has some of the best synth pads and basslines I have ever heard. This song is just an absolute slapper! Then suddenly, a shift in tone, from the upbeat Дома Молчат, to the slow, melancholic Kрыши. And yet, such an amazing song! The dark bassline and slow guitar mixed so well with the deep vocals. Greetings, everyone! How are y'all doing? I hope you're all doing great. Anyways, today we will be talking about the highly experimental Aphex Twin album, "...I Care Because You Do". This album, leaving aside it's cover lol, was quite a handful and left me with a weird taste in my mouth. The music was all over the place and the beats we're messy. Let's get a bit more in depth, shall we? The first song, Acrid Avid Jam Shred, was a pretty nice start to the album, giving off a hip-hop type beat, with a fuzzy synth melody alongside it. It was very noise-rich and had some weird sound effects here and there, but was overall a good song. The Waxen Pith had a very nostalgic vibe for some reason, but at the same, felt very melancholic, like something was coming to a close, like moving out of town, leaving your friends behind, seeing all the places you've been to fade away.
