Top 20 Aphex Twin Songs

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. Today I will be ranking my top 20 Aphex Twin songs. Why 20? Because of his enormous discography, I am unable to rank only 10 songs. They're just so good!

20) Polynomial-C: I love the late 90s EDM vibe this song has. The airy, dramatic synths, the fast beats, they all work together so well.

19) Hexagon: This track has a beat. Surprising considering it's on Selected Ambient Works II. Anyway, this song has a really nice synth melody and surprinsingly hard hitting beat.

18) Cock/ver10: Very energetic and bombastic beats, glitchy melodies. It's just epic. And of course, we can't forget the Aphex Acid at 2:49. Unforgetable.

17) 4: This song is calm and upbeat at the same time. The super fast beat, the soothing synths and violin-sounding melodies. Really epic song.

16) Z Twig: All I really have to say is that this sounds like a Minecraft music disc. And I love it!

15) Lichen: it's calm.

14) Vordhosbn: I has really nice feel to it, mixing fast, glitchy beats with soothing synth melodies. They work together surprisingly well.

13) T69 collapse: This track is absolutely bonkers and as so many sectionams, from a down tempo one, reminiscent of Syro, then a more upbeat, crazy section that would fit on DrukQs. This track is just great.

12) Stone In Focus: A very powerful song. This track hits hard. That's all I can say.

11) aisatsana: This song is beautiful. All it really is, is a long piano melody, accompinied by the calm sounds of nature, birds chirping and I think a nearby river can be heard.

10) minipops 67: It has layed back beat, really cool synth melodies and those vocal chops around the end are surprisingly catchy.

9) Schottkey 7th Path: This track has some really catchy synth melodies. The quiet beat and SFX make up for an amazing track.

8) To Cure A Weakling Child: Fast beat, weird vocal chops from a kid singing. Perfect. And the drums sound like that weird *clock* sounds we all made when we were little.

7) Digeridoo: This song has such a catchy melody. The digeridoo sounds absolutely crazy and the beat is perfect.

6) Rhubarb:  c a l m e r .

5) Xtal: This is pure bliss. The breathy synth melodies, the soft beat, this track is beautiful.

4) Flim: Time for a special one, this was the song from Aphex Twin I ever heard, and it holds a special place in my heart, as the song that introduced me to this master of electronic music. The calm beat and soothing melodies are just blissful.

3) Avril 14th: Just a short, simple piano melody. And yet, it's just so beautiful.

2) Windowlicker: An obvious pick, but it's impossible to not like this song. The moan like vocal chops, the slow beat, it's just perfection.

And finally...

1) Alberto Balsalm: Another obvious pick, but it's well deserved. The slow beat, the steel like melodies and squeaking chair. They all work together so well.

Thanks for reading my top 20. As always, make sure to leave your list in the comments.

Next post, we will start reviewing Pink Floyd's discography...
