Nürnberg - Paharda
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, we are going to be discussing Nürnberg's second studio album, Paharda. Their previous album was OK, and as such, I was expecting an improvement of their sound. Let's see if they learned anything from their previous album.
We start with Abdymi, with a much more lo-fi sound. The vocals were loud and imposing and the bassline was much thiccer and menacing. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Next we Viera, a darker song, with a dark guitar, however the vocals didn't quite do it for me. This song was OK.
Zorki has a powerful synth pad that fills the entire song. Melancholic guitar melodies, powerful drums, this is beautiful.
Listy was less impressive. It really didn't leave that big of an impression on me.
Trymaju was a slower song, with melancholic guitar melodies and a nice basline. The vocals sounded mournful, as if the singer lost something, and it sounds amazing. This is another great track.
Adny was another nice track, with a nice guitar and surprisingly soothing vocals. The bassline was also very nice.
And we go back to melancholy, with Nadzieja. Synth pads, mellow guitar melodies, mournful vocals, it sounds amazing.
Rany had a nice bassline, but that's about all that impressed on this track.
Sviatlo was another melancholic song, but not quite as impressive as the previous ones. The vocals were pretty nice though.
And finally, we have Kataris, a fitting end to the album, given how much I enjoyed the sad songs on here. The bassline was heavy and the guitar sounded beautiful. Amazing song.
So, overall the album was a mixed bag. On one hand, we have some very nice, melancholic songs, and on the other some rather mediocre ones. Given this selection of tracks, overall the record was good, but definetely had room to improve.
